Emma's Space

I'm a b@#!*, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint - I do not feel ashamed

tired

Trying to think of something to say
but it's not going to happen
not this day.

old friends

So young, so long ago

Just yesterday.

Invincible forever.

Running blindly into each day

No consequence.

Pushing, shoving for the back seat in the rain

Chewed up tickets on the roof

Balls of string flying out the windows

All of us laughing.

I shrank when you laughed at me

I grew when you became my friend.

When the sun shone we crossed the pipe

All of us laughing and teasing

Hoping someone would fall.

Then the road came

With its mounds of dirt

Some took to their bikes

Bob-Down showing off, falling off

“Watch this”, face in the dirt

And we laughed

Falling to the ground

Holding tight our sides.

Was it yesterday?

Last week?

Last year?

In the morning my eyes open

And

for a moment

I feel like that again

Hitching up my skirt

Rushing off to school

I’m a rock star

Ready for the bitching

Waiting for the laughter

Dying for the walk home

Ravos from Wavo

Pumped for all the fun

So young so long ago

Just yesterday

Today I feel so old.

I heard, maybe read recently, something about the learning we do between the ages of about 14 – 24. I can’t remember exactly what they said regarding the learning but it ended with whom ever it was saying “The same is true for the friends we make during that same time frame. We may move on, grow up, never see each other again – but there is always a special place in our hearts for those friends who helped us become the aldults we are today.”

So true.

Merry Christmas to all my friends xxx

Can’t wait to see their faces

Hear their shrieks and cries

The time is drawing nearer now

For one of Mum’s white lies!!

Oh yes he’s worked all year

In the cold white frosty snow

Making toys and game and things

To load the sleigh and go!!

And reindeer they can fly for sure

Right round the world and back

There’s no other way he’d get around

To empty out his sack!!

And very soon they’ll be landing here

While we are all asleeping

It’s hard (I know) to hear to bells

And stop yourself from peeping!!

So when the kids rush out of bed

To see what he has given

Watch their faces, hear their cries

‘cause that for sure is livin’!!!

And when you’re done with pressies

The best part can begin

To spend all day with those you call

Your family, friends or kin!!

I’ll wish you Merry Christmas now

For there’s nothing left to say

Except know that when I’m smiling

I’ll be thinking of you today!!

Luv y’all Emma

November 23

blah

When will I fall,

My feet off the ground,

Arms flailing,

Heart pounding,

Laughing?

My face flushed,

Vision hazy,

Reality blurred,

Will I fall?

When will it stop,

My throat burning,

Eyes stinging,

Heart pounding,

Aching?

My face flushed,

Vision clear

Reality clear

Is this all?

Feeling warm

Too warm.

Feeling afraid

And sad

Looking behind

So stupid

Stupid

Looking ahead

So blue

Blank.
